Precision-cast from 52CrMnMoV alloy steel using investment casting (±0.2mm dimensional accuracy) and CNC-machined to ±0.05mm tolerances, this spring shield provides critical protection for auto-reset shank mechanisms in extreme tillage conditions. The component undergoes a rigorous heat treatment regimen—normalizing at 900-920°C for uniform grain structure, annealing for stress relief, oil quenching at 850°C, and tempering at 540-600°C—to achieve HRC 32-36 hardness, ensuring exceptional resistance to soil abrasion and impact forces up to 6,500 lbs. Available in original cast finish or black baking varnish, surface treatments include MIL-SPEC shot blasting (SAE J444) for optimal paint adhesion and optional Dacromet® coating for 1,500+ hours of salt spray resistance in corrosive environments.
Certified under IATF 16949 standards, each shield is subjected to 180% overload testing, magnetic particle inspection for micro-cracks, and CMM verification of mounting hole alignment (±0.1mm). The contoured design features 8mm reinforcement ribs and a 30° deflection angle to redirect debris while maintaining structural integrity. Compatible with leading cultivator models including John Deere 2210 and Case IH 3300 series, the shield operates reliably in temperatures from -40°C to +120°C.
